We understand that natural processes of decay and hollowing should be promoted as they are a vital part of tree development, nutrient recycling and habitat provision.
We offer a number of Conservation treework services that promote positive change to our environment in a time of need.

Orchards are incredible ecosystems with diverse fauna and rich flora if managed well. Fruit trees become veterans at relatively early age compared to other species such as an oak tree which means orchards offer specialist habitat such as cavities, loose bark and deadwood for wildlife species. We have experience working to conserve traditional Gloucestershire orchards. We provide advice and high quality veteran tree care to promote longevity in fruit trees as well as planting replacement trees and establishment care to ensure continuity, We can provide expert pruning for neglected fruit trees that require restoration care.

We realise the importance of tree continuity and offer services in species selection, manual tree planting , mulching, tree protection and aftercare during establishment years for many different projects. We special in low density plantings such as parkland, wood pasture, avenues and orchards.
We have extensive experience in all aspects of tree pruning having worked on hundreds of different trees. We know how different tree species react differently to pruning and offer expert advice and deliverance of pruning to the highest of standards. We can process any pruning arisings into woodchip with our woodchipper and remove from site.

Wood pasture is a crucially important habitat for conservation due to its unique mosaic of open grassland and scattered veteran trees, which supports an exceptional variety of wildlife and provides a link to ancient cultural landscapes. Unlike dense woodlands, this semi-open environment prevents species from being outcompeted, fostering a richer biodiversity.

We asked Patrick at Treeation to provide a professional tree inspection survey to help fulfil our tree safety requirements. We received our report in a very timely and professional manner and Patrick was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful to work with.

The Treeation team carried out Ash Die Back remedial work and scrub management on two Butterfly Conservation nature reserves. The work was completed on time and to a high standard with great respect for the sensitive sites they were working on, and Patrick’s communication throughout was great.
